She found his restraint both surprisingly pleasant and oddly suspicious. Because she wasn't sure what to do with it, she ignored it, tucking away the off balance feeling it gave her. She was glad -glad!- that he was keeping his laughter to the inside. She could see it there, behind his eyes. Men, always pleased when they proved to be the more 'macho' one.

He felt the jab back and he didn't like it. He scowled but held most of it back, not wanting to show Talia how much he did not like this. "Ah so you know of me already then?"

Talia sneered and let it go, sliding a hand up Jace's thigh playfully. "Whatever floats your boat." Jace just leaned back with a slight smile and stretched an arm around Talia.

It was too much to take, his arm around her? What was the appropriate reaction? Break the table? Break Jaces face? So many options. He ground his teeth but couldn't hold back the frown . The best thing he could do was get out of there. "I should get home," Thei stated as he finished his beer left money and got to his feet keeping his gaze away from her.
