He couldn't even believe it she was serious he was stunned. Just like that? He hoped she would come to her senses but he said nothing just shook his head grumbled under his breath and went his own way.

Talia kept her word. She stayed away, trying to figure out what she was going to do. She still helped out with crime, but she had worked out something with Ana so she didn't have to come in to get assignments. Which brother to choose didn't really become any clearer which, oddly, made the decision simpler. In a way. If she couldn't pick one, without deeply hurting the other, then she should probably choose neither. That didn't mean she immediately went out looking for someone else, but she met someone anyway. He went to the same bar she did, and after speaking to him a few time she found him delightful. And hopeful.

Nate remained close with Talia seeing her almost everyday. He hadn't moved on yet but he didn't date easily and was friends with nearly everyone could distract himself from missing Talia. Theo on the other hand began to avoid her like the plague. Once he realized she was serious his stubbornness and pride refused to face her. He stopped going to pick up assignments and just kept to himself.. He still saw his brother sometimes but when he heard she was dating some one else in total he was in utter disbelief.

Talia was glad that Nate was understanding, she still saw him often. Theo, she never saw. She figured he was avoiding her. Which was fine because she wasn't ready to see him. Theo was harder to face.

It put Nate in a tough place since he wanted to stay close with both no matter who's dating who but Theo was so stubborn and adamant about not wanting to see her. So Nate decided to try and get them together. After a vigorous work out with his brother Nate convinced Theo to come for a beer, having asking Talia to meet him there as well.

Talia walked into the bar Nate had suggested, flicking short black hair out of her face. She spotted Nate immediately and smiled before she looked at who was beside him and it froze for a second. She glared accusing at Nate for a second before she approached and it was too late. "Hey," she greeted, acting natural. She wasn't nervous, of course not.

Theo was facing the bar ordering a beer when she walked in and approached. It wasn't until he turned around with his beer and she was already upon them. He was stunned for a moment sent a glare at Nate. He was so tempted to turn up his nose and walk away but he relented, "hey."

"Oh good," she confirmed blandly, urging Nate to scootch over so she could share his stool.

Being the gentleman that he was, Nate instantly surrendered the seat to her. "did Nate con you into coming here as well then?"

"If by con you mean he failed to mention that you'd be here, then yes," she said with a wicked smile at Nate, one that promised payback.

"You guys will thank me when everything is normal by the end of tonight," Nate guaranteed, positive as ever.

Talia stared at Theo for a long moment, "You always were an optimist."

Theo sucked in a long breath, it wasn't easy, not for him, he felt his pride was wounded. "I don't know why we tolerate him," Theo commented with a shameful shake of his head.
