Ana minced her way through the crowd, slipping around people like an eel through water. She got stares as she passed by, admiring looks at her legs, ass, stomach, breasts, face. She was a beautiful woman but she managed to remain unnoticed enough so as not to draw too much attention. She picked a spot right next to a pillar, pushing thick black frames back up her nose, cute big square frames. She crossed her legs at the ankle, resting her shoulder against the cool marble of the pillar in the conference lobby of the Prudential Hotel. She folded her arms across her chest to listen to the man just now taking the stage. Her long-lashed eyes narrowed slightly at the sight of his face. This city new him as a savior, a great man who took a strong stance against crime. Ana snorted to herself. Against crime, they thought. Naive people. She knew heroes, in fact she lived among them, in the Underground. That man, was actually a villainous member of the group he so publicly decried. Her lower lip pouted a bit in consideration. Today she was simply here to observe, to see if she could learn anything. Hence why she was dressed in a long, flowing skirt and crop top, not her combat gear. She brushed caramel blond hair over her shoulder with impatience as the slimy crook opened his mouth to speak. All of the faces around her were excited, impressed, awed.

Gabriel Bronx never thought he would be in the position in life, a place of actual power. He didn't know what it was about him, he figured he was just a slime ball, he had always figured he would be no good, he just didn't think people would swoon to it. It helped that he was incredibly good looking, and could be charming, when he wanted to be. It helped that he could completely hide who and what he truly was behind his handsome face and great smile. When he walked across the stage to the podium the fair sized crowd of people erupted on total faith in the man before them and his cause, their city had been damaged many times from these so called heroes. It was very expensive to live in Gothamme, they were sick of the constant danger and it all seemed to start recently when the heroes arrived all spectacular and all proud saying they would save them from fires and natural disasters, and the villains and thugs all followed the heroes. So if the heroes left they would be free in their city again not afraid to walk the streets. Gabriel waved and smiled like he had trained himself and hushed the crowd with a hand. "Wow, it's amazing, I am blown away by my number of supporters, people who have not given up on this great city," just mention their city and the crowd went crazy, he knew exactly how to make them feed off every word.

Ana's head tilted as she watched him. She examined his every expression and nuance, the way he held his shoulders and what he did with his hands. It was the tiniest bit difficult because she couldn't see his features very clearly and she never had seen him up close. She had seen his face in magazines but never in person. He looked slimy from where she was standing.

No where was safe in this city, even in a crowd full of witnesses they were not deterred purse and wallet snatches were always common. This man was very short just at the height to snatch. When he saw his rarer he moved with a veiled face he moved in and snatched the purse meaning to have her never know it went missing as she was infatuated wjththis speaker like all the rest.

Ana felt the air stir at her side and her head whipped around. She met the little snatcher's eyes for a moment before he took off. She frowned in outrage. Who the hell robbed her? She took off after him, peeved. She didn't need the purse, per se, but it was a matter of principle now.

The thief took off into the crowd, hoping to get lost within the masses. He was short enough to dodge around in the small gaps making his way forward, toward the stage and podium.

Ana wasn't fooled. She'd been nabbing rookies like this since she was a child. She dogged his heels relentlessly, ducking through the crowd. She had to crane a bit to keep eyes on him.

From his stand, Gabriel could see the commotion in the crowd as people were shoved aside. His speech was interrupted as his eyes followed the pretty girl, though he could not see what she was chasing until the tiny perp was rejected by the crowd into the small bubble left for Gabriel and his security. Knowing that everyone's eyes were on him, he continued his mad dash for freedom, up the stairs and through the hotel. He was quick, the guards couldn't snatch him, but Gabriel's secret came in handy. Also he was stronger than he looked. Gabriel snatched the thief by his coat and sent him reeling back and onto the ground on his back, completely stunned,

Ana had also managed to completely duck past his security. She slid to an abrupt stop when her thief was slung to the ground in front of her, on his back. She stared down at him in surprise, then looked up in surprise. She met Gabriel's eyes and paused.

Gabriel took the purse from the perp who was instantly scooped up by his ametur security. Gabriel met her gaze back, his eyes were a bright blue, it helped with his obvious handsomeness. He smiled, slightly, the little criminal forgotten. "I'm guessing this belongs to you?" He questioned handing over the purse. He couldn't place it instantly but there was definitely something about her, something that did something very strange to his breathing and his heart, it was instant pleasure,

She took the purse slowly, eyes wide. "It is. Thank you." She was completely unaware of all of the other people around; it was just him and her. His blue eyes were beautiful, mesmerizing. Magnetic, somehow. She could feel her pulse fluttering in her throat and her face felt warm. She frowned at him, not an angry frown but more of a puzzled frown.

"Just glad I could be helpful in someway," Gabriel replied, he had totally forgotten what he was there for, his charastmatic speech just gone, didn't matter. "Umm sir," one of his guards chimed in, clueing Gabriel into the fact that all his fans were just staring.

The guard worked to snap her back to reality too. She blinked and looked at the man then over her shoulder at the crowd. She shot Gabriel a last look, confused. She clattered down the stage steps, running a hand through her hair and puffed all her breath out. What the hell was that?

"Right," he breathed finally looking at the security standing before him. Gabriel tried to clear his head and remember what he had been talking about, but couldn't. As he went back to the podium he knew he had to cut it, would make it up to them later when he wasn't so clouded. "Pardon me ladies and gentlemen but I will have to cut this rally short, there are matters that need to be taken care of, forgive me this once." He left it short, sounded serious, they were stunned but didn't think too much of it they always trusted his word is there was a serious matter it was indeed serious. So the numbers began to fade slowly.

Ana was disappointed that she had wasted this opportunity. She would have absolutely nothing of value to take back with her. However, since it was clearing she would walk back, clear her mind and restrategize. She glanced over her shoulder at Gabriel then cursed when she almost walked into a pillar. This was absurd.
