She nodded slightly but didn't respond to that. She had apologized because she knew somewhat how it felt. She was half Cree and had felt that disdain before, both from her mother's people because she was half white, and from her father's people because she was half indian. She had been called a dirty half breed more times than she could count and had white men say such bad things to her she wouldn't repeat them. "The joint is just up here," she said quietly gesturing with a hand.
